Roots of Painful Hope: Israeli Settler and West Bank Palestinian in Conversation

Fellowship Hall
Guest Speakers:

ANTWAN SACA
born in Jerusalem in 1984 to a local Christian family from the city of Bethlehem, Antwan Saca has been working towards the dream of peace and justice in the Holy Land throughout his adult life. He serves as Director of Programs for the Holy Land Trust in Bethlehem, and is part of the inner circle of Roots activists.

HANAN SCHLESINGER
is an Orthodox rabbi, teacher, and passionate Zionist settler who has been profoundly transformed by his friendship with Antwan and with other Palestinians. His understanding of the reality of the Middle East conflict and of Zionism has been utterly complicated by the parallel universe that Antwan and others have introduced him to.

Roots is a grassroots Palestinian and Israeli initiative for understanding, nonviolence, and transformation, working in both the Holy Land and the United States for education, dialogue, and action in service of a peace with dignity for all. To learn more, go to www.friendsofroots.net.
