Is There a Growing Schism Between Faith and Science?
There is a perception among many that scientific method and religious faith are irreconcilable. This perception appears to be growing, along with the idea that scientific “facts” must prevail over religious faith and dogma. Dr. K. C. Hsieh, Professor Emeritus of Physics at The University of Arizona, will address this and his own story as a scientist actively living out his faith. Dr. Hsieh has found harmony as a scientist and believer. Join us for an evening of interactive exploration.
The Faith and Science Roundtable meets on the “First Thursday” of each month to discuss issues at the interface between faith and science in a respectful environment where it is ok to be a novice, an expert or somewhere in between. All who are interested in the conversation, including youth, are welcome to attend.
