What is an Individual?
Chapel Library
Please join us on Thursday, January 4 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm to listen to Beckett Sterner, Assistant Professor at the School of Life Sciences, Arizona State University. We often take for granted that the cells in our bodies work together as part of the same team, but biologists have uncovered a rich drams behind the origins and maintenance of cooperation. The meaning of individuality gets even more interesting when we look at cases beyond humans, including dandelions, slime moulds and honey bees. How can all of this relate to our faith, let’s discuss it?”
The Faith and Science Roundtable meets on the “First Thursday” of each month to discuss issues at the interface between faith and science in a respectful environment where it is ok to be a novice, an expert or somewhere in between. All who are interested in the conversation, including youth, are welcome to attend.
