Desert Buddies meets on Fridays providing families assigned to a 2-day three-year-old class (Javelina or Gecko) the opportunity to add an additional day to their child’s schedule.

While the Desert Buddies has different teachers and children than your child’s regular class, once established, the class roster remains the same throughout the year.   As such, Desert Buddies is not a drop-in class.

The Desert Buddies teachers typically incorporate activities around storybooks and hands-on investigations.  Project work may not be as deep as the children only come together once a week as a group on Fridays.  As with their regular classroom, children will find new friends, sing familiar songs and learn in the context of investigation and play.

Desert Buddies meets from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm with the children bringing a bag lunch.
