Limitations are hard. But they inspire brainstorming sessions and late-night creativity. We have been busy finding ways to connect with all of you and to continue making music together during the time of social distancing. Inspired by many friends and colleagues from all over the world, I came up with a remote music project which I asked Pinnacle kids and their parents to participate in. The kids will learn a piece of music remotely, their parents make phone video recordings send them to me, and I will patch it together into a multi-screen video. I will share online our joyful remote music-making with all of you. I am convinced that by doing that we all will help bring hope and God's love to many who miss the joy of seeing Pinnacle kids weekly.
Today I leave you with what I came up with during one of those late-night brainstorming sessions - a message of hope, calm and love based on Psalm 31:16 "Let your face shine upon your servant; save me in your steadfast love."
I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"Come unto me and rest.
Lay down thou weary one, lay down
Thy head upon my breast."
Shine on me, shine on me,
Let the light from the lighthouse shine on me.
Shine on me, shine on me, Let the light from the lighthouse shine on me.
