UMOM is the largest homeless shelter for families in Arizona. Its mission is to provide homeless families and individuals with safe shelter, housing, and supportive services to assist them in reaching their greatest potential. UMOM is unique in that it accepts the poorest and most vulnerable in our community, including women and children who are victims of domestic violence, homeless veteran families, single fathers with children, and families with teenage boys. 

Children's Ministry has been unable to visit UMOM to teach Sunday School during COVID. Therefore, we have been creating monthly bags with lessons, activities, games, color sheets, and seasonal items to keep the children connected to Christ, as best we can! We packed 75 VBS bags for UMOM to participate in Virtual VBS 2020. We supplied Easter goodie bags, along with our Affirmation Calendars and 25 Affirmation Posters for their facility. As we are moving forward with a hybrid VBS program this summer, we will include UMOM and their estimated 75 preschool - 5th-grade students, once again. We hope they feel & see our love!
