PPC Connected. As you may know, PPC has a strong and direct relationship with Harmony Ministries in Haiti, under the leadership of Pastor Luc Deratus. We’ve sent a team to work with him, he has visited us, and we provide ongoing financial support to his educational and relief programs. We are working to make contact with him and provide assistance as we can.

PPC Supporting. The Session of PPC has agreed to make a special collection for Haiti relief. Under the direction of our Mission Committee, 100 percent of funds collected will go to support through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and to Harmony Ministries as needed. We will also invite attenders at our Pinnacle Concert Series concert this week to give. You may make that offering this Sunday, Jan. 17, in worship, or mail or bring checks marked for “Haiti relief” to the church office.

PPC Following. The Mission Committee and members of our Haiti Mission Team will continue to monitor the situation, provide updated information to the congregation via our Web site and other means, and determine helpful ways in which PPC can remain involved in the weeks and months ahead.

PPC Praying. Several members of PPC gathered for prayer and reflection Wednesday evening, and we are calling on the entire congregation to hold the people of Haiti, governmental and nongovernmental agencies offering relief, and persons of decision in prayer during these difficult days for Haiti.
